Department spotlight in the ERP space: Professional Services Group

There’s a saying: “A brand is defined by the customer’s experience. The experience is delivered by the employees”. The saying holds true for every department in KCS. Over the next few months, we will introduce a series of articles that focus on each of our departments, what they do, and how they contribute to the success of KCS.

 

We’re excited to start the series off with our Professional Services Group (PSG).

 

With a total staff complement of ~1 200 people globally, our PSG team comprises approximately 176 people— 26 of which are based in South Africa.
Below, we’ve included a breakdown of the total number of customers and users that our PSG team assists internationally.

Delivering a world-class ERP solution for businesses with different requirements demands knowledgeable, experienced people. We are proud to share that our PSG team has 152 combined years of service experience with expertise that span across Finance, Payroll, Rental and Hire, Technical and Trade. They provide project management, consulting services and training to all of our K8 and Integrity customers.

 

The team has a deep understanding of the processes and challenges in the Distributive Trade, and aim to provide real solutions for our customers’ everyday business problems. In order to ensure each project meets our customers’ key performance measurements, our PSG team have developed the METIS implementation methodology. METIS provides a framework for delivering software and is used exclusively in our implementation projects. It helps to ensure that our customers are able to maximise the rich functionality of our solutions.

 

Equally as important as the role they play in successfully delivering ERP installations and upgrades, is the difference our team makes in our customers’ daily operations. As a company, our main purpose is to help our customers source effectively, stock efficiently, sell profitably and service competitively.
